Voters in the San Felipe Del Rio Consolidated Independent School District will elect three trustees to sit on the district’s board  Saturday.

Four candidates have filed for three open seats on the school board.

The seats up for election are Place II, Place VI and Place VII, according to information found on the school district’s website.

The incumbents in the Place II and Place VII seats did not draw opponents in the election and are both running unopposed.

The Place II incumbent is Joshua Overfelt, and the Place VII incumbent is Amy Haynes.

Overfelt is the associate professor of history and government at Southwest Texas Junior College, and Haynes has worked for nine years at the Methodist Day School.

There are two candidates for the Place VI seat currently held by Diana E. Gonzales.

They are Diego M. Almaraz Jr. and Ken Smith.

Almaraz is employed by the federal government, and Smith is general manager of Howmet Aerospace.
