Writer’s Note: Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
The following persons were arrested for misdemeanor offenses and warrants during the month of July 2024, according to arrest reports released by the Del Rio Police Department:
- Victor Levrie, 34, a resident of the 500 block of Gregory Drive, was arrested at 2:45 a.m. on July 1 at 1530 E. U.S. Highway 90. Levrie was charged with the offenses of driving while intoxicated, unlawfully carrying a weapon and resisting arrest, search or transportation, all Class A misdemeanors.
- Deanna Denise Martinez, 52, a resident of Batesville, Texas, was arrested at 9:45 a.m. on July 3, at 903 E. 12th St. after it was discovered she had active non-local warrants.
- Enrique Alcala, 24, a resident of the 40 block of Centro Ave., was arrested at 2:30 a.m. on July 3 at 404 E. De La Rosa St., after it was discovered he had several non-local warrants out of Tom Green County/Midland, Texas.
- Elijha Nathaniel Cardenas, 23, a resident of an apartment in the 100 block Shannon Circle, was arrested at 1:09 p.m. on July 5 at his residence after it was discovered he had three active warrants with the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office.
- Joe Matthew Marroquin, 32, a resident of Cotulla, Texas, was arrested at 5 p.m. on July 6 at the Del Rio Port of Entry, 3140 Spur 239, after police were called about a man being detained there. Marroquin was charged with the offense of violation of bond/protective order, a Class A misdemeanor.
- Melisa Fuentes, 50, a resident of the 100 block of Cordova Lane, was arrested about 7:30 p.m. on July 6, at her residence and charged with the offense of assault causing bodily injury/family violence, a Class A misdemeanor.
- Stephen Anthony Maldonado, 26, a resident of the 900 block of Clayton Street, was arrested about 2:15 a.m. on July 6 at 2101 Veterans Blvd., and charged with the offense of resisting arrest, search or transportation, a Class A misdemeanor.
- Carlos Abelardo Nunez, 36, a resident of the 100 block of Gregory Drive, was arrested at 11:18 p.m. on July 7 at 711 Dr. Fermin Calderon Blvd., and charged with the offense of duty on striking unattended vehicle, a Class B misdemeanor, as well as for a local warrant.
- John David Martinez, 62, a resident of an apartment in the 700 block of East Sixth Street, was arrested at 4:56 p.m. on July 8, at 1307 E. First St., and charged with the offense of public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.
- Ricardo Morales, 18, a resident of the 100 block of Oak Walk, was arrested at 2:24 p.m. on July 8 at the Del Rio Port of Entry, 3140 Spur 239, after police were dispatched to the port for a man being detained on an active warrant.
- Wendy Flores, 29, a resident of the 1000 block of East Ogden Street, was arrested about 4 p.m. on July 10 at 408 Flores St., and charged with the offense of possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
- Elijah Cardenas, 23, a resident of an apartment in the 100 block of Shannon Circle, was arrested at 11:39 p.m. on July 11, at 2520 Veterans Blvd. and charged with the offense of burglary of vehicles, a Class A misdemeanor.
- Marcos Olivares, 33, a resident of the 300 block of East Gutierrez Street, was arrested at 7:51 a.m. on July 12, at 1300 E. Gibbs St., and charged with the offense of resisting arrest, search or transportation, a Class A misdemeanor.
- Fabian Lee Castillo, 25, a resident of an apartment in the 100 block of Joe Rice Drive, was arrested at 3:03 a.m. on July 13 at 400 Cuellar Street and charged with the offense of public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.
- James Alan Mendez, 19, a resident of the 200 block of Park Avenue, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. on July 15 at his residence. Police were called to the residence for a disturbance and found Mendez had an active arrest warrant out of Dallas, Texas.
- Samantha Nicole Olvera, 25, a resident of San Antonio, Texas, was arrested at 7:47 p.m. on July 18 at the Del Rio Port of Entry, 3140 Spur 239, after police were notified officers at the port had detained a woman with an active arrest warrant out of Kinney County for human trafficking.
- Rene S. Garcia, 29, a resident of the 300 block of East Gutierrez Street, was arrested at 11:24 a.m. on July 19 at Avenue J and East Second Street, and arrested for evading arrest or detention, a Class A misdemeanor, as well as on several active arrest warrants from the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office.
- Roberto Armando Hernandez, 25, a resident of the 700 block of East Morin Street, was arrested at 4:33 a.m. on July 21, at 500 W. Cantu Road, and charged with the offense of assault, a Class C misdemeanor.
- Gloria Estela Herrera, 49, a resident of Joshua, Texas, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. on July 22 at the Del Rio Port of Entry, 3140 Spur 239, after she was detained for driving a vehicle whose license plate and registration sticker did not belong to the vehicle. Herrera was arrested and charged with the offenses of displaying fictitious motor vehicle registration and operating a motor vehicle with the wrong license plate, both Class C misdemeanors.
- Francisco Anibal Morales, 37, listed as homeless, was arrested at 7:52 a.m. on July 22, at 109 Central St. after officers encountered him inside a vacant residence and discovered he had an active arrest warrant with the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office.
- Juan Balente Aguilar, 30, a resident of the 200 block of San Felipe Avenue, was arrested at 10:32 p.m. on July 24 at East Ogden and Ash Streets following a traffic stop. Aguilar was arrested after it was discovered he had outstanding non-local arrest warrants.
- Eddie Mosqueda, 40, a resident of an apartment in the 100 Royal Way, was arrested about 9 p.m. on July 24 at 400 Kings Way and charged with the offense of driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor.
- Carmen J. Ballesteros, 64, a resident of Amarillo, Texas, was arrested at 11:14 a.m. on July 27 at the Del Rio Port of Entry, 3140 Spur 239, after police were notified of a woman being detained on a non-local arrest warrant.
- Alejandro Delcampo, 39, a resident of San Antonio, Texas, was arrested at 5:24 p.m. on July 28 at the Del Rio Port of Entry, 3140 Spur 239, after police were notified of a man being detained on a non-local arrest warrant.
- April Dawnell Macchiarella, 45, a resident of the 400 block of West Martin Street, was arrested at 2 a.m. on July 30 at her residence and charged with the offense of assault causing bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor.
