Del Rio Police Department detectives are investigating a reported stabbing that occurred this afternoon along the San Felipe Creek in south Del Rio.
DRPD detectives and evidence technicians, along with several patrol officers, responded to an area of the walkway along the southern bank of the creek under the Losoya/Gillis Street Bridge about 4:30 p.m. today.
Several hours later, the detectives and evidence technicians were still combing the area for potential evidence.
Officers at the scene directed The 830 Times to the police department’s and city’s public information staff. The 830 Times has reached out to Peter Ojeda, the city’s communications director, and more information about the incident will be made available.
