On January 14th, 2025 at approximately 3:04 p.m. a Del Rio Police Department officer responded to an address located at the 800 block of Waters Street for a welfare check regarding a child.
Contact was made with the child who did not show any signs of abuse. Police requested arrest warrant inquiries for both guardians at the scene. Police discovered a male identified as Marco Antonio Castillo; 28 yrs. of age had two outstanding arrest warrants out of Val Verde County for the offenses of Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
The arrest warrants were verified with the issuing agency, and Castillo was placed under arrest for both warrants. Castillo was transported to the Del Rio Police Department for booking and processing and was later transported to GEO, pending magistration process.
