Get ready for a weekend of excitement, history, and family-friendly fun as the annual Fort Clark Days celebration returns in 2025!
Historic Fort Clark Springs, located in Brackettville, Texas, will host the annual event on Friday, March 7, 2025 and Saturday, March 8, 2025, inviting visitors to step back in time and experience the rich history and vibrant culture of the area surrounding the 9th largest

spring in Texas.
Admission is free and parking is only $5 per vehicle.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the iconic Fort Clark, once a vital military outpost during the 19th century, while engaging in activities that bring the past to life and enjoying art, music, food, and shopping.
Come as you are or don your best historic costume or vintage attire.
Either way, be sure to wear comfy shoes because there is so much to walk around and see!
The majority of events will take place from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day, however there will be a Friday Night Movie at the Post Theater at 7:00 pm and a Street Dance at the Commissary on Saturday from 7:00 – 10:00 pm.
Highlights of Fort Clark Days 2025 include:
Living Historians: Experience living history from Fort Clark’s

military past, with numerous booths set up showcasing military and civilian life during the 1800s and 1900s. The Lipan Apache Band of Texas-Cualcahen Ndeé will also present their history, flint knapping, and the Eagle Dance at their beautiful teepee campsite next to Las Moras Creek.
Live Animals: The Camel Corp will be present with their camels, showcasing the history of the 1850s U.S Camel Experiment, U.S Army Camel Corp.
Cannons: Watch as Living Military Historians present routine cannon firings throughout each day. It will be a sight to see and hear!
Live Music & Entertainment: The event will feature live performances from local and regional musicians, as well as family-friendly entertainment throughout the weekend. To wrap up the festivities, a nostalgic Street Dance will take place in front of the Historic Commissary Building from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
Art: The Fort Clark Art Center will be open on Saturday and regional Artist Homero Buñuelo Bautista will be giving a lecture at 11:00 am and leading a Photographic Walk starting at 1:00 pm – bring your camera or just tag along to listen and learn!
Movie Night: On Friday, March 7, 2025 a free showing of “Vengeance Valley” a 1951 western starring Burt Lancaster will be shown at 7:00 pm at the Historic Post Theatre at Fort Clark Springs. Admission is FREE and there will be a concession stand where attendees can purchase snacks and drinks. Proceeds will support next year’s Fort Clark Days event!
Shopping: Shop for handmade crafts, locally produced goods, and delicious treats in our two marketplace areas located at the Commissary and Seminole Hall. The Sutler’s Store located next to the Old Guardhouse Museum is also open both days for shopping.
Food & Drinks: Food Vendors will be located behind Seminole Hall and there will be plenty of delicious food and drink options to choose from. Beer, wine, and water will be available at the Commissary and at the Butcher Block.
Old Guardhouse Museum: With free admission, tour the Old Guardhouse Museum on Friday and Saturday to learn more about Fort Clark’s storied past as a military post and its role in the expansion of the American West.
