The City of Del Rio will be hosting Fourth of July events starting Wednesday, July 2, through Friday, July 4.
Movie Night at the Golf Course
The newest addition to the Del Rio Fourth of July festivities is the Movie Night at the Golf
Course, which will be at the San Felipe Springs Golf Course located on U.S. Highway 90.
Esme Meza, the city’s community services director, said the city staff had movie night events at
previous locations, and they are trying different locations, adding she believes “the golf course
will be really nice (for the event).”
The golf course will be screening “Captain America: Brave New World,” which will start at 8:30
p.m. Wednesday, July 2. The event is free to the public, and city staff members recommend
guests bring insect repellent, lawn chairs and picnic blankets.
The Paul Revere Night 5K
The annual Fourth of July 5k night run will take place at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 3, starting at the Rotary
Pocket Park, located at 614 Main St. The event is a collaboration between the City of Del Rio
and Amistad Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness, a local non-profit organization.
The event is free to the public, and Amistad PTSD encourages contestants to wear red, white
and blue attire.
2025 Stars and Stripes 4th of July Parade
The city’s annual Fourth of July Parade will be held on Friday, July 4, starting at 10 a.m. The
parade will start on South Main Street and Ogden Street and go down Main Street, ending on
Nicholson Street.
Meza said people can still be part of the parade and have until Friday to sign up. People
interested in joining the parade can contact Meza at 830-282-2818.
Basketball Events
The Joe Ramos Center, located at 1105 W. De La Rosa St., will have a Free Throw Contest at 2
p.m. and a 3-Point Shootout at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 4. The Free Throw Contest will have three
divisions, including ages seven-nine, ages 10-12, and ages 13-15, and the Three Point
Shootout is open to all ages.

Entertainment on the Creek
Musical performances will be held on Friday, July 4, starting at 4 p.m. at the Dr. Alfredo
Gutierrez Amphitheater, located at De La Rosa Street. The 2025 Fourth of July celebrations will
end at 11:45 p.m.
The performances will include Midnight Rodeo at 4 p.m., Casa De La Cultura Ballet Folklorico at
5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., Nightlife at 6:30 p.m., King Cabbage Brass Band at 8:30 p.m., and La Fiebre at 10:15 p.m.
HEB Fireworks Spectacular
The Fourth of July celebrations will culminate with the HEB Fireworks Spectacular starting at 10
p.m. and ending at 10:15 p.m.
