Cripple Creek is reopening Tuesday at 5 p.m. after a 4-day hiatus when an employee was exposed to the Coronavirus.
Polo Del Rio, President of Del Rio Management Company, released the following statement:
We are so happy to announce we will be open tomorrow at 5:00 pm and ready to serve you. Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to navigate through this pandemic. We always keep our team and customers as a top priority and will continue taking all precautionary measures to reduce exposure risks for everyone.
Rather than shut the doors and leave the employees unpaid, Del Rio and his wife Amanda, general manager, decided to do something for frontline workers.
They fixed 35 meals for the Val Verde Regional Medical Center’s COVID Vaccination team.
“They’ve done a lot for our community, we just wanted to give a little back,” Del Rio said. He assured that his team took every precaution to ensure the food was safe.
The restaurant, located at 5667 US-90, will be open from 5 to 10 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
