Del Rio Police Department press release
On 11/27/2025 at 11:57 p.m. the Del Rio Police Department responded to the 700 block of Avenue E for a disturbance in progress. While en route, police were notified a female suspect was actively attempting to enter the residence via a window.
Upon arrival police discovered the female suspect was detained
by a male inside the home. Police noticed the female suspect was bleeding from her mouth and learned she was taken to the ground by the male resident upon illegally entering the home. Medical assistance was offered; but it was declined by the suspect.
Police learned the residents were sleeping when they heard a loud noise. The female suspect damaged the front door of the residence and later managed to make entry through a window, placing others in fear of bodily injury.
Police discovered the female suspect also damaged a vehicle prior to entering the residence. The damage to the vehicle was estimated to be greater than $2,000.00.
The female suspect identified as Andriana Berenice Castillo; 22 years of age was arrested and charged with the offenses of Burglary of a Habitation and Criminal Mischief >= $750 <$2,500.00. Castillo was later released to the custody of GEO Correctional Facility, pending magistration process.
