Question #1: What are your qualifications to serve in the office you are seeking?
I have 12 years of experience working within the Justice of the Peace court system. I have handled every type of case that comes through a JP court, including small claims, debt claims, evictions, citations, warrants, mental health commitments and death investigations. I have real courtroom experience and complete yearly training through the Texas Justice Court Training Center, staying current on legislative updates to ensure the law is applied fairly, accurately and consistently.
Question #2: What is your vision for this office for the next four years?
My vision for the Justice of the Peace office over the next four years is to maintain a court that is consistent, efficient and fair while strictly following the law. The role of a Justice of the Peace is not to create policy, but to apply statutes and judicial canons impartially. I will focus on timely case management, clear procedures and ensuring every individual who enters the courtroom is treated with dignity and respect. I want this office to be known for professionalism, accountability and consistency in decision-making. When people leave the courtroom, they should feel they were heard, understood the process and were treated fairly. Upholding public trust and the integrity of the court will always be my top priority.
