Candidate Questions: Jesse James Trevino/Democrat/Justice of the Peace Pct. 1

Question #1: What are your qualifications to serve in the office you are seeking?

As the current Justice of the Peace for Precinct 1, my qualifications reflect five years in criminal and civil proceedings, inquests and magistrations. I have completed 250 hours of continuous education and bring 25 years of law enforcement experience, including 17.5 years as an elected constable and 7.5 years with the sheriff’s office. Additionally, I have been involved in the political realm for 22.5 years, totaling 30 years of extensive knowledge.

 

Question #2: What is your vision for this office for the next four years?

As the Justice of the Peace for Precinct 1, my vision for the next four years is firmly grounded in the core values of transparency, integrity and fairness. I am devoted to continuing to fulfill my duties and serve the constituents of Val Verde County with unwavering dedication and perseverance, ensuring that each action I take reflects the highest standards of service. Furthermore, I am committed to enhancing the efficiency of court proceedings to better assist constituents, ensuring that justice is both fair and effective. In addition, I will assure accessibility and trust by continuing to maintain an open-door policy for our community. My vow is to continue to serve the citizens of Val Verde County with honor, respect and dedication.
