Sul Ross State University has announced the launch of a new Master of Science in International Business Management (MSIB) through the Rio Grande College of Business, designed to prepare students for leadership in today’s interconnected global economy.
The program offers advanced coursework in international economics, financial management, marketing, strategy, communication, information systems and organizational change. Applied learning and cross-cultural case studies equip students to analyze global markets,

lead diverse teams and design sustainable cross-border growth strategies.
Dr. Sumantra Sengupta, dean of the Rio Grande College of Business, said Texas remains at the center of international and cross-border business activity.
“Texas continues to be at the epicenter of international and cross-border businesses,” Sengupta said. “Our workforce development needs will require advanced capabilities at the intersection of globalization, marketing and finance. We look forward to contributing to the skills and capability development.”
The program culminates in a capstone project in which students address a real-world international business challenge by integrating finance, marketing, strategy and digital tools into an actionable executive plan.
The MSIB expands the Rio Grande College of Business’ specialized graduate offerings and reinforces Sul Ross State University’s commitment to delivering career-focused education aligned with regional and global economic needs.
