Founded in 1978 by George’s brother Bobby, the George Paul, as it is commonly known, has become a legendary event and coveted title for professional bull riders. It is widely credited as the first standalone bull riding event and has paved the way for the entire industry.

Contestants often refer to the George Paul as one leg of the unofficial triple crown of bull riding, the other two being the National Finals Rodeo and a world championship title.

Performances will be held at the Val Verde County Fairgrounds on Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, at 8 p.m. CST.
