Three incumbents and one newcomer won their races for seats on the San Felipe Del Rio Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees, and voters also re-elected three incumbents to the Val Verde Hospital District Board.
In the race for Place 1 on the SFDR-CISD Board, Jesus Emilio Galindo won his re-election bid, posting an unofficial total of 1,727 votes. Galindo’s opponent, Priscilla Aguilar, had an unofficial total of 1,151 votes.
In the race for Place 3 on the SFDR-CISD Board, Linda Guanajuato Webb won her re-election bid with an unofficial total of 1,545 votes. Guanajuato Webb’s opponent, Edward Guerrero, had an unofficial total of 1,377 votes.
Bryan Weston was unopposed in his bid for the Place 4 seat on the SFDR-CISD Board. Weston had an unofficial total of 2,435 votes.
In the race for Place 5 on the SFDR-CISD Board, Rebekah “Becky” Luna Chavez won her re-election bid with an unofficial total of 1,554 votes. Luna Chavez’s opponent, Leonel “Leo” Cavazos, had an unofficial total of 1,329 votes.
Two incumbents for the Val Verde County Hospital District Board were also unopposed.
The Precinct 1 representative on the board, Dr. Daniel Chartrand, was re-elected, posting an unofficial total of 564 votes.
The Precinct 2 representative on the board, Dr. Julio Otazo, was re-elected with an unofficial total of 379 votes.
Of the four candidates seeking election to two at-large seats on the board, voters selected Dr. Lee Keenen, with an unofficial total of 1,311 votes, and Raul Alatorre, with an unofficial total of 1,050 votes.
The remaining two candidates and their unofficial vote totals were: Cris Diaz, 1,005; and Ramon Santellanes III, 846.
