Val Verde Regional Medical Center has announced the renovation of a newly acquired medical office building at 901 N. Bedell Ave. in Del Rio, which will become the Val Verde Sports Medicine Therapy Center.
The project represents an investment in expanding access to specialized care and rehabilitation services for the community and surrounding region.
The renovation will transform the existing facility into a modern, patient-centered clinic designed to support recovery, rehabilitation and performance. The new center will provide a comprehensive range of services under one roof, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and pediatric therapy.
The clinic will also serve as the practice location for Dr. Jonathan Hoskins, an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon, further strengthening VVRMC’s commitment to delivering high-quality specialty care locally and reducing the need for patients to travel outside the community.
“This renovation is about more than just a building. It’s about expanding access to the right care, at the right time, right here in our community,” said Jorge Jurado, FACHE, CEO of Val Verde Regional Medical Center. “By bringing orthopedic sports medicine together with a full range of therapy services under one roof, we are improving coordination of care, enhancing patient outcomes and making it easier for our patients to heal close to home.”
The renovation is being completed in partnership with Redline Full Restoration LLC, whose expertise is helping bring the vision for the new facility to life.
Once completed, the Val Verde Sports Medicine Therapy Center will play a key role in supporting injury recovery, post-surgical rehabilitation and developmental therapies for patients of all ages.
Construction is scheduled to begin in May at 901 N. Bedell Ave., with additional updates and a projected opening timeline to be announced in the coming months.
