NEWS — Seminole Canyon pauses many activities due to flooding

Seminole Canyon State Park press release

The park has received over 3 inches of rain in the last few days, with more rain forecast for tonight and tomorrow.  Here is how the rain will impact your visit:

Fate Bell Shelter guided tours – water is now flowing in the canyons, making some sections of the tour route hazardous and inaccessible.  Canyon conditions may result in weekend tour cancellations.

Trail System – our trails are saturated with water, making some areas impassible without causing trail damage.  We’re asking visitors to avoid our trail system for a few days (especially bicycles), to allow our trails to dry out.

Call the park office at (432) 292-4464 for current conditions and weather impacts.
