The Del Rio Queens return to work tonight when they host District 30-6A leader Laredo Alexander at 7 p.m. at the Carl P. Guys Memorial Gymnasium.
Del Rio is looking to rebound after a tough four-set loss Friday at Southwest Legacy.
The Queens dropped the first two sets, 25-21 and 25-20, before answering with a convincing 25-15 victory in the third set. Southwest Legacy closed out the match by winning the fourth set, 25-10.
Del Rio enters tonight’s match with a 12-7 overall record and a 1-3 mark in district play.
Alexander is 20-5 overall and sits atop the district standings at 4-0. The Lady Bulldogs have won four consecutive matches and have not dropped a set during district play.
Tonight’s match will complete the first five contests of Del Rio’s 14-match district schedule.
