Conrad’s Casita, 648 S. Main St., will be showcasing art from students at San Felipe Memorial Middle School (SFMMS) on Friday, Nov. 6, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Antoinette “Toni” Conrad, owner of Conrad’s Casita, said the pictures being displayed will be from the sixth, seventh and eighth-grade art classes taught by Lillie Gamez.

Conrad said there will be 30 to 40 pieces of art displayed at her store, including some nature-themed art created by Gamez. Conrad said the majority of the art created by the students will be fall themed.

Conrad said Gamez is passionate about teaching her students and always seeking ways to “shine a light” on their work, including giving them the experience of an artist by having their work displayed somewhere for the public to see. She said this upcoming Friday Art Walk will be the third time her store will display artwork by the students at SFMMS.

Conrad said her store has been displaying art during First Friday Art Walks since November 2025, three months after her store opened.

Food and drinks will also be provided by Conrad’s Casita for those who are attending November’s First Friday Art Walk.
