A chase involving Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and Border Patrol agents made its way out of and back into Del Rio Friday night, Del Rio Police Department Chief Fred Knoll Jr. confirmed Saturday.
“This . . . chase started on the highway, south Del Rio, then went out to Highway 90 West all the way to Box Canyon, then back into town and ended in front of Ram Country (auto dealership),” Knoll said in a text Saturday.
Knoll said Del Rio police officers were not involved in the chase.
“We only stood by to clear the roadway. We were not involved in the pursuit itself,” Knoll said in his text.
No further details were available regarding the start or end of the chase.
