Get ready for the return of spring football.
The Del Rio Rams will begin spring football Friday. In preparation for that, there will be a football parent meeting Tuesday at Walter Levermann Ram Stadium. Masks and social distancing will be required for anyone attending.
The meting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
According to Rams head football coach Rod Taylor, the meeting will include an update on COVID-19 procedures, spring football, the Rank One system online, physicals, grades and attendance at school and at workouts, 7-on-7 tournaments, and the summer calendar will all be covered during the meeting.
Summer football return with Taylor’s return to the Rams football program in 2019. The 2020 session was canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Football returned in a small form with summer conditioning and workouts, but those too eventually fell to the pandemic as football was put on hold until the fall.
The Rams are coming off their first playoff appearance since 2016.
