From the City of Del Rio’s Public Relations Department
On the night of Oct. 24, 2021, the Del Rio Police Department received a series of calls concerning shots fired in several areas:
At approximately 11:52 p.m., Del Rio Police Department officers responded to the area of 200 South Griner Street in reference to shots fired. The caller reported two different vehicles involved in the incident. Officers arrived and located a witness who provided vehicles description. Officers searched the area and located four casings. The scene was photographed, and casings were submitted as evidence. No injuries nor damages were reported. This case remains open and will be forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division for further investigation.
At approximately 2:29 a.m., Del Rio Police Department officers responded to the area of the 300 block of San Felipe Street in reference to one single shot fired in the area. Officers arrived and searched the area but did not locate any victims nor suspects in reference to the incident. No injuries nor damages to property were reported and no evidence was located in the area.
At approximately 2:43 a.m., Del Rio Police Department officers responded to the area of Teresa Street and Las Vacas Street for a call of shots fired. The caller reported hearing five to six rounds being fired in the area. Officers arrived and searched the area but were not able to locate any victims nor suspects. No injuries nor damages to property were reported and no evidence was located in the area.
Then on Oct. 25, at approximately 12:19 a.m., Del Rio Police Department officers responded to the 3900 block of Hwy 90 East for a call of shots fired. Officers arrived and searched the area, but no victims nor suspects were located. No injuries nor damages to property were reported with this incident and evidence was located.
