NEWS — DRPD RESPONDS TO MULTIPLE CALLS FOR SHOTS FIRED IN THE AREA

Del Rio Police Department news release

Del Rio, Texas – On November 4, 2021, at approximately 10:39 P.M., the Del Rio
Police Department received multiple phone calls for shots fired in the vicinity of Barrera and
Martinez Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered an altercation had occurred between two
parties involving an exchange of gun fire. The victim, a 40-year-old male subject, informed
police officers a black in color sports utility vehicle stopped in front of his residence and
opened fire. The victim then utilized his own personal firearm.

The case remains open and is under investigation. If you have any information about
