The following reports were among those released recently by the Del Rio Police Department:

 

Theft

DRPD Senior Officer Jose Rueda was dispatched to the Del Rio Inn, 3811 Veterans Blvd., at 10:37 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, after police received a report of a missing compact refrigerator. Rueda reported when he arrived, he spoke with Stella Sportsman, motel manager, who said a woman rented a room at 1 p.m. on Nov. 4 and checked out the following day. She said when motel staff went into the room on Tuesday, Nov. 9, about 3 p.m., they noticed the refrigerator, a black Magic Chef 2.6 cubic foot valued at $129, was missing.

DRPD Officer Michael Palmer reported he was dispatched to Brown Nissan of Del Rio, 2300 Veterans Blvd., at 9:47 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, after police received a report about missing vehicle parts. Palmer reported when he arrived, he spoke with Travis Mariner, who said several vehicle parts were missing from the dealership’s body shop, including two headlamps for a 2017 GMC Acadia valued at $2,416.36 and a tailgate for a 2020 Chevrolet 3500HD valued at $848.20. Mariner said he believed the parts were stolen between 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, and 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10.

Criminal Mischief

DRPD Officer Terri Rogers was dispatched to a medical clinic at 3809 Veterans Blvd. at 4:09 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, after police received a call about a broken window. Rogers reported when she arrived she spoke with Dr. Tina DiBlasi, who reported when she arrived at the clinic at 9 a.m. Wednesday, she saw a broken window. DiBlasi estimated the amount of the damage at $200 and said she believed it occurred between 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9, and 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10.

Burglary of a habitation

DRPD Senior Officer Nadine Terrazas was dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Old Hamilton Road at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, after police received a call about a break-in. Terrazas reported when she arrived, she spoke with Maria Casillas, who said someone broke into her residence. Casillas said when she returned from an out-of-town trip, she found rooms inside were ransacked and assorted pieces of jewelry valued at a total of $6,530 were stolen. Casillas said she believed the burglary occurred between noon on Oct. 28 and 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
