San Felipe Del Rio CISD’s Family Career and Community Leaders of America competed at Region V STAR Events in Corpus Christi, Texas recently and had several of its members advance to State.
Advancing to State are the following:
Culinary Chapter Members:
Entrepreneurship Roberto Lopez, Isel Valero, and Miranda Rizo 2nd Place
Public Policy Advocate Leslie Blanco 3rd Place
Austin Esquivel and Eric Flores 1st Place in Sustainability Challenge
Isaias Garcia and Annaliz Rustad 2nd Place in Event Management.
Winning medals for content tests were Isel Valero – Gold, and Austin Esquivel – Bronze, in Creed Mission and Purpose.

Career Investigation:
Kim Gloria, 5th Place,
Emily Jimenez and Karla Robles, 3rd Place in Focus on Children,
Catherine Cardenas, 3rd Place in Leadership,
ALyzia Jimenez, Kamyla Rodriguez and Caleb Sevilla, 2nd Place in National Programs in Action,
Nayeli and Natalie Cordova and Yanelly Palao, 3rd Place in Professional Presentation.
Also advancing to State is Ashley Carta in Early Childhood Education

Natalie Cordova and Melanie Rodriguez – Gold in Mission Creed and Purpose
Kim Gloria, Emily Jimenez and Karla Robles – Silver, and Catherine Cardenas and Ashley Carta – Bronze in Education and Training.
FCCLA members will travel to state level competition in April in Dallas. FCCLA Advisors are Chef Adan Cortez and Linda Corbell.
