Received an update from AT&T at 3:37 a.m. that service was restored.

They aren’t saying a lot about what did happen but here’s what we put together.
UPDATE: AT&T said service has been restored following Thursday’s outage. The company said the disruption was caused by a transport failure but has not released additional details explaining what triggered the problem.

AT&T Outage Update (2:05 p.m.)
• AT&T confirmed this morning that some wireless customers were experiencing service interruptions and advised customers to use Wi-Fi Calling while crews worked to restore service.
• The company has not identified the cause of today’s outage and has not said whether it was related to software, equipment or another issue.
• Customers in multiple states reported problems making and receiving calls. Some local emergency agencies issued temporary advisories about potential 911 calling issues.
• AT&T says restoration efforts are continuing, but has not provided a timeline for a full resolution.

As our engineers work diligently to restore service, we’re also recording the downtime so we can automatically credit your bill. For status updates, go to att.com/outage.”
Anecdotal data shared by a customer said he stopped by the store and was told it would be quite awhile. He lives in Northern Val Verde County and when he crossed the bridge on SR 277 over Lake Amistad towards his home, his service was restored.
Many Del Rio AT&T customers are reporting no service Thursday morning.
“Some of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning. We are working urgently to restore service to them. We encourage the use of Wi-Fi calling until service is restored,” AT&T said in a statement.
AT&T also posted a longer update on its Network Update page during the outage:
“Some of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning. Our network teams took immediate action and so far three-quarters of our network has been restored. We are working as quickly as possible to restore service to remaining customers.”
One number seen on CNN reported 73,000 customers are affected.
