William Beckmann’s single Someday is still climbing the Texas Regional Radio charts, perched at number 30, one good week away from climbing into the 20’s.
It’s an unprecedented spot for the 25 year-old rising country star, who’s previous highest single I Want to See You Tonight, peaked at 38 in 2019.
Someday has been on the charts for 13 weeks and many of the songs ahead of Someday have been on the chart twice that long.
However, Beckmann isn’t resting on his laurels, watching his song climb the charts. (If you ask him, he can only ever give you a general answer, he knows it’s somewhere in the 30’s but not sure exactly where). He’s touring aggressively, opening for Kevin Fowler and Randy Rogers in October, headlined Del Rio’s Drive-up Music Concert and is spending time in the studio in November.
To make shows financially viable, he’s performing twice a night.
“It’s really exhausting, and twice the work,” Beckmann said. “And I’m not complaining because I’m doing what I love but physically, it’s demanding.”
He’ll be recording In the Dark, probably in the next month.
“It’s a song I’m proud of lyrically and a lot of my friends want me to release it,” he said. “I’m probably going to record a couple of others too but I”m really going to focus on In The Dark.”
