The Del Rio hospitality industry is on an upswing with two new hotel developments, the first since 2007.
A proposed Fairfield Inn & Suites hotel will soon be added to the local landscape.
It joins the upcoming new La Quinta-Hawthorn Suite dual hotel. The proposed hotel is slated for a plot of land next to Border Federal Credit Union across from the Holiday Inn Express off Bedell Avenue.
Once completed the 4-story hotel will offer 90 guest rooms with many amenities. The project would represent the fourth hotel on the Bedell Avenue corridor.
Founded in 1987, Fairfield Inn boasts over 1,168 locations worldwide.
