Question #1: What are your qualifications to serve in the office you are seeking?
I’m runningĀ for Val Verde County Judge with proven executive leadership as the former Mayor of Del Rio, where I led the county’s largest city through complex challenges, worked across local, state and federal agencies and managed budgets, infrastructure priorities and public safety issues. My experience includes crisis leadership, fiscal responsibility and long-term planning focused on quality of life, economic development and infrastructure. Beyond public office, I bring a strong record of community service, nonprofit leadership, military experience and a people-first approachĀ grounded in communication, transparency and collaboration. These are skills that directly transfer to effective leadership for Val Verde County.
Question #2: What is your vision for this office for the next four years?
My vision for Val Verde County is a community that works together with clear communication, responsible leadership and a shared commitment to progress. As county judge, I will focus on strengthening infrastructure, improving public safety and emergency preparedness, supportingĀ economic development that creates more local jobs and investing in the quality of life projects that benefit families across the county. I believe in collaboration, not division, and in bringing the city, county, state and federal partners to the table to plan smarter, spend taxpayer dollars responsibly and ensure Val Verde County is prepared, resilient and positioned for a strong future.
