Question 1: What are your qualifications to serve in the office you are seeking?
I currently work at the federal courthouse, where I interact daily with attorneys, judges and court staff. I am also retired from the federal government, including service as a prosecution officer where I drafted complaints and presented cases before a judge. In addition, I have served on the Del Rio Airport Committee, contributing to local infrastructure decisions. This legal and community experience prepares me to serve Val Verde County’s Precinct 1 with fairness, professionalism and sound judgment.
Question 2: What is your vision for this office for the next four
My vision for the next four years is to provide steady, experienced leadership grounded in fairness, respect and accountability. Drawing on decades of public service, I want to ensure the court operates efficiently while remaining approachable and accessible to all residents. I believe justice should be firm but compassionate, with an emphasis on clear communication and understanding of the legal process. I will work to treat every individual with dignity, encourage compliance through education when appropriate and maintain public confidence in the court. My goal is for every resident of Val Verde County’s Precinct 1 to feel heard, respected and assured that the court serves the community fairly and consistently.
