The 2025 Level Up Christmas Parade had over 70 organizations drive and march through
historic downtown Del Rio on Friday evening.

The theme for the annual Christmas parade was arcade and video games, which allowed
businesses and organizations to represent classic games while celebrating the holiday season
with Christmas lights and decorations.

The parade ended in Greenwood Park where vendors sold food, drinks and toys to the people
who attended. City officials announced the winners of the contest for the parade. The first award
went to The Bank & Trust, which received first place in the Mayor’s Choice category.

The awards continued with the Beamer Nightlife winning the most-spirited car club award. The
best city entry award was given to the Del Rio Police Department.

The best parade theme
award was given to Texas Cheer Elite. The Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree (best
band/music float) honors went to Off Road Recovery.
Walmart was then awarded the merry and bright award (most lights on a float/car). The Sugar
Plum Fairy Award (best queen entry) was awarded to Miss Del Rio Texas USA and Miss Val
Verde Texas USA. The holiday spirit (the best business entry) award was given to the local
Chick-fil-A. The Garfield Middle School Dance group was then awarded the holly dazzle award.

The final category of the night was for the drummer boy (best marching band), which was given
to the Mighty Ram Band. Esme Meza, the city’s community services director, ended the
presentation by thanking all the parade businesses and organizations for participating in the
2025 City of Del Rio Level Up Christmas Parade.
