Big Air Del Rio, 501 E. 6th St., will have its first lock-in event on Friday, Jan. 2, at
7 p.m.

The lock-in event is for children and teenagers ages 12 to 17, who can enjoy the
indoor trampoline and adventure park attractions of Big Air from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Renata Perez, supervisor at Big Air Del Rio, said this is the first time the Big Air
facility in Del Rio is hosting an event like this.

The doors at Big Air will be closed starting at 9 p.m., and only children and
teenagers are allowed into the lock-in. Perez said parents are able to pick up
their children early if needed.

Big Air has more than 20 attractions for children and teenagers to enjoy,
including the max flight (roller coaster) simulator, a mechanical bull, zip lines,
slides and trampolines for children to bounce on and throw dodgeballs at each
other. Perez said during the lock-in, the Big Air staff will turn on the cosmic lights
inside the building and raise the volume on the music to create a vibrant
atmosphere for the guests to enjoy.

Tickets, which are $25 per guest, can be purchased in person or the Big Air’s
official website . Children and teenagers excited about the event have until Friday
to purchase a ticket, and Perez said the number of spots they have is limited.

Certified security guards will be on site and Big Air Del Rio will be fully staffed
throughout the entire night. The kitchen staff will also be available to cook and
sell a variety of food, including chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, pizza, ICEEs
and various chips and candies.

For the general rules at Big Air Del Rio, guests are not allowed to bring outside
food or drinks, and children and teenagers are required to wear the Big Air-
designed socks when playing inside, which are sold at the facility for $3.
