COMMUNITY — City council honors veteran employees

City council members Tuesday took a moment to say thanks to city employees who have served their country.

Human Resources Director Mario Garcia read the list of city elected officials and city employees who are veterans of the nation’s Armed Forces.

They include the following:

Mayor Al Arreola presented each of the veteran employees who attended the council meeting with a city challenge coin.

After reading the list, Garcia led the city council and audience members in giving the veterans a standing ovation and in the singing of “God Bless America.”
