COMMUNITY — Missoula Children’s Theatre production set for Del Rio

An audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s production of THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES Monday, June 6 from 4:40 to 6:30 p.m. Those auditioning should arrive at 4:20 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the roles to be cast are the Emperor; ManyPenny and the Money Council; the Royal Scholars Roxy and Red; Kings, Queens; Gem and the Royal Jewelers; Boots and the Royal Cobblers; Lid and the Royal Hatters; Stitch and the Royal Tailors; and the Royal Silkworms. Students, 1st through 12th grades, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup.  MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week each day.

THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES will be presented Saturday, June 11 at 3 & 5:30 p.m. at the Paul Poag Theatre. The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency in Del Rio is brought to you by Del Rio Council for the Arts with support from the City of Del Rio HOT FundRamada, and Val Verde Community Foundation.
