Del Rio families can enjoy one last summer celebration before the school year begins at the UMC National Health Center Week Health Fair, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, August 7, at the Del Rio Civic Center, 1915 Veterans Blvd.
The event will feature free health screenings and UIL sports physicals to help students prepare for the school year.
“The health fair is the perfect way to wrap up summer and kick off the school year,” said Annixa Herrera, UMC’s coordinator. “People can have a chance to win a big screen television or a tablet and get their children set for school with a free sports physical.”
Attendees will have a chance to win door prizes, including bikes, TVs, and tablets. There will also be music, games and other family activities.
Guests are encouraged to dress as their favorite character from the past, present or future.
