COMMUNITY — Val Verde voters have one more chance to cast ballots

Val Verde County voters will have one more chance to cast their ballots in the 2022 General Election on Tuesday, Election Day.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and voters must go to the polling location for their voting precincts to cast ballots.

Polling locations on Election Day are as follows:

  • Joe Ramos Facility, 1105 W. De La Rosa St. – County Voting Precincts 10, 11, 12 and 13
  • Del Rio Civic Center, 1915 Veterans Blvd. – County Voting Precincts 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24
  • Northside Baptist Church, 1100 Amistad Blvd. – County Voting Precincts 30, 31 and 33
  • Comstock Community Center, 68 Langtry St., Comstock – County Voting Precincts 32, 42 and 43
  • St. Joseph’s Church Parish Hall, 510 Wernett St. – County Voting Precincts 40 and 41

As of Friday, the last day of the early voting period, a total of 6,260 Val Verde County voters had cast ballots by personal appearance, according to numbers uploaded to the Texas Secretary of State’s web site by local election officials.

The Secretary of State’s web site also reports there are 29,351 persons registered to vote in Val Verde County in the 2022 November General Election.

The 6,260 voters who have cast their ballots so far represent just over 21 percent of the total number of registered voters.

Voters can find their county voting precinct number printed on their voter registration cards. Voters can also go to any polling location and ask for assistance from election workers at the site.
