More than 150 people lined Del Rio’s streets Feb. 21 in a COVID safe manner, protesting abortion as part of the March for Life.
Typically, the event is a march held in the Fall but due to climbing Coronavirus cases, they adjusted tactics and held a COVID safe event in the Spring.
Rather than march as a group, 150 people were assigned pre-designated locations with pro-life signs they showed from noon to 4 p.m.
“I thought it went really well,” said Jim Wainer, event coordinator. “We are in a different time and couldn’t do what we traditionally do, with a march and speakers, but we were still able to get the message out.”
