Harold Glen White (“H.G.”), a long-time resident of Fort Clark and active participant in his community through the Rotary and the Historical Society, passed in his home on December 4, 2020. Mr. White was born on January 25, 1929 in Homer, Louisiana. He was married to Shirley White, who passed in July 2007. They both were members and residents of Fort Clark Springs since 1972. His love for learning, music and laughter will be remembered and missed by all. H.G. never knew a stranger because his open mind welcomed all viewpoints. During his daily ritual, affectionately dubbed “Beer:30” he would share deep philosophical conversations and the corniest of silly jokes.
Mr. White is survived by three sons, David, Forrest and Scot, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. There was also one daughter, Paula, who passed on March 30, 2020. A memorial service to remember Mr. White will be held on Saturday, June 12th from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM at 170 Avenida Juarez, Unit 1, Fort Clark Springs, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please send a short story or memory that reminds you of H.G. to his granddaughter Jenny at mabrey27@yahoo.com. She will read each story and publish them for the family who love and miss him.
