Lee-Bunch Studio Gallery, 100 W. Greenwood St., will feature the work of painter Carol Seminara, beginning on Friday, Sept. 4, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Bunch said there will be 20 pieces from Seminara, an artist from Fredericksburg, Texas, who will be showcasing acrylic paintings. Bunch mentioned she is excited tor people to see this Friday’s art exhibit, adding that she believes the younger crowd will like it.
As mentioned in a cover letter, Bunch said Seminara’s work has an “outsider’s vibe,” as it focuses on watercolors and vibrant colors.
Bunch spoke with The 830 Times early in the week to talk more about her gallery. When asked about what she enjoys the most about First Friday Art Walks, Bunch said she takes joy in meeting everyone who visits and showing people art, whether its hers or from another artist. Bunch also described what makes her gallery special to those hearing about it for the first time.
“(My studio) shows our heritage. It’s western. (The art) has livestock that ranches have; it’s got working cowboys. It’s just the way I grew up here,” Bunch said.
Bunch’s studio will also have beverages, hors d’oeuvres and sweets for visitors during the art walk hours.
