A Del Rio hair salon was unintentionally turned into a drive thru salon around noon Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Century Cutters by Juanita, located at 102 Center Street, right across from KDLK radio station, had a sport utility vehicle plow through their front door.
“I am happy to report that no one was inside and I was not working at the time,” Juanita Martinez, the salon’s owner wrote on Facebook.
Martinez managed to find the bright side in the fiasco. “The driver was not hurt and we are in the process of getting everything sorted.”
Any time a vehicle slams into your business, there is a downside. For Martinez, who was closed for several months due to COVID, it’s just another slap in 2020.
“2020 has not been the year for everyone,” she wrote. “With that said, my business may be on a brief hold.”
Despite being closed for months, despite having her salon turned into a garage, Martinez found the best part.
“I am very happy and blessed to have such understanding clientele,” she wrote. “You are my second family. God bless you always.”
