Question #1: What, in your experience, either personal or professional, makes you qualified to serve in the office of mayor?
“My qualifications to serve as mayor of Del Rio come from a combination of leadership experience, preparation, and a deep commitment to serving others. I served six years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve as a Communications Chief, where I was responsible for managing critical systems, leading teams, and ensuring that communications equipment ran effectively during field exercises. That experience taught me accountability, discipline, and how to make sound decisions in complex situations.
“In addition, I also serve as a leader in the local Trail Life troop, which has allowed me to mentor
young people and work closely with families in our community. That role has strengthened my ability to lead with integrity, communicate clearly, and stay grounded in the values that matter most.
“I have also invested time in studying the principles of effective governance and participated in a mock legislative session in which I introduced, debated, and passed legislation. Together, these experiences have prepared me to evaluate issues carefully, collaborate with others, and move policy forward responsibly.
“I bring a clear approach to leadership: listen to the community, think critically, and act decisively. I am ready to lead with transparency, accountability, and a focus on delivering real results for the people of Del Rio.”
Question #2: What is your vision for the office of mayor for the next four years?
“My vision for the office of mayor in Del Rio over the next four years is to provide steady, transparent, and accountable leadership that puts our community first. The mayor’s office should set the tone for integrity, ensure open communication with residents, and work collaboratively with the city council to make responsible, informed decisions.
“A key responsibility of the office is restoring fiscal discipline. The mayor must lead in fixing the city’s budget, prioritizing essential services, and ensuring we operate within our means. That includes making tough decisions, improving efficiency, and being a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars.
“The mayor’s office should also champion economic growth by supporting small businesses, encouraging investment, and preparing our infrastructure for the future – while always protecting the rights and values of our residents.”
