Mini Farmer’s Market Saturday

Off the heels of one of the most successful Mini Farmer’s Markets in September, the Del Rio Parks Foundation is hosting the monthly event this Saturday, 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 17th at the Del Rio Community Garden at a 210 Jones Street, near Brown Plaza.

Event organizer, Christine Miner, has re-worked the layout of the market to ensure social distancing and improved flow.

“The mini market has taken off and we couldn’t be happier,” said Miner. “Our super awesome local vendors are selling out at each market and I cannot wait to see where we go from here.”

Returning vendors include: Floc Food Truck, Contrails Coffee LLC, Red Rabbit Candles, Wonderfully and Furrfully Made, Robert’s Honey, Tuxedo Canning, Hikari Coffee Company, French Girl Bakery, Chuckie’s Beef Jerky, and Miner Farms plus a local regular vendor.

The Mini Market welcomes these new vendors:  My Craft Room, Sunny Cat Soap Co, The Lactation Bakery, The Oven Bakery, Kristi and Karly Creations, and Jackrabbit Brew.

In addition, the Market is partnering for a second time with The Garden Library to host a used book sale. Proceeds will benefit the Friends of Val Verde County Library.

The event’s health guidelines require vendors to wear masks. No samples will be available. Masks are required of all attendees in accordance to state mandates. Hand sanitizer and a hand washing station will be available for use at event.

Admission to the event is free. New vendors who sell food, plants, herbs, natural soaps, or food and plant-based products can send the Del Rio Parks Foundation a message for more information.
