Six more persons have filed for places on the March 2026 Republican and Democratic Party
Primary Election ballots.
Val Verde County Democratic Party Chair Rosalinda Hernandez has released the applications of
five more candidates who will seek election next year.
Hernandez on Tuesday sent The 830 Times the application filed by Generosa “Janie” Ramon,
who announced she will seek the Democratic Party nomination to the office of Val Verde County
Commissioner Pct. 4. Ramon formerly served as Val Verde County Clerk. She listed her current
occupation as retired.
Hernandez today released the application filed by Gustavo “Gus” Flores, the incumbent in the
office of Val Verde County Commissioner Pct. 4. Flores will seek re-election to the office.
Hernandez on Wednesday released the application filed by Aaron D. Rodriguez. Rodriguez filed
for re-election to the Val Verde County Treasurer office he currently holds.
Hernandez today released two additional applications. Juan Carlos Vazquez filed an application
for re-election to the office of Val Verde County Commissioner Pct. 2, and Sergio J. Gonzalez
filed an application for re-election to the office of Val Verde County Court-At-Law Judge.
The following persons have filed for the indicated offices on the Democratic Party Primary
Election ballot, with an (I) behind the office title to indicate an incumbent seeking re-election:

Val Verde County Republican Party Chair Sharon Petitt on Thursday sent The 830 Times the
application filed by Sasha Grace, who announced she will seek election to the office of Val Verde
County Republican Party Chair. On her application, Grace listed her occupation as fitness trainer.

Prospective candidates who wish to file as Republicans must contact the Val Verde County
Republican Party Chair, and prospective candidates who wish to file as Democrats must contact
the Val Verde County Democratic Party Chair.
