City of Del Rio Police Department press release
On November 28, 2023 at approximately 8:00 a.m. the Del Rio Police Department responded to the area of Gillis Avenue and Garza Street for a motor vehicle collision.
Upon arrival the investigating officer learned, one of the occupants identified as Marco Antonio Villanueva Jr.; 29 years of age had an active arrest warrant.
The arrest warrant was confirmed with the issuing agency, and the male was taken into custody for such warrant charging him with the offense of Parole Violation – Deadly Weapon in a Penal Institution.
Villanueva was transported to the Del Rio Police Department for booking and was later released to the custody of GEO Correctional Facility.
