With cold nighttime temperatures expected to continue for at least a few more days, the
city of Del Rio has announced it has opened a warming center at the Joe Ramos Center,
1105 W. De La Rosa St.
The center will be open beginning at 9 a.m. today and will remain open until 9 a.m.
Friday, according to a post on the city’s Facebook page.
The National Weather Service has forecast “a slight chance of rain showers and sleet
between midnight and 3 a.m. (Thursday), then a slight chance of rain showers after 3 a.m.
(Thursday)”
The low temperature tonight is forecast at 36 degrees.
On Thursday, the National Weather Service is predicting “showers likely, mainly after
noon.”
Thursday will be cloudy, with a high temperature forecast at 44 degrees.
The NWS predicts, “Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts
between a quarter and a half of an inch possible.”
Friday’s high temperature is forecast at 50 degrees, with a strong north-northwest wind.
Friday night is expected to be clear and cold, with a low temperature of 29 degrees.
