The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred on April 19, 2024, at approximately 6:42 a.m., on US 90 approximately 16 mile east of Brackettville in Kinney County.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2002 Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on US 90. A 2017 white Nissan pathfinder sport utility vehicle was traveling eastbound on US 90. The Toyota Camry crossed over the center lane into the eastbound lane, driving on wrong side roadway not passing, and struck a Nissan pathfinder head on in the eastbound lane.
Due to injuries sustained the driver of the white Camry, Dylan Puz, 23, from Niles Ohio was pronounced deceased on scene. Driver of the white Nissan pathfinder Robert Zavala, 36 from Del Rio Tx was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other three passengers from the Nissan pathfinder were transported to Uvalde Hospital with Non- Life Threating injuries. DPS Troopers continue to investigate this fatal crash.
