The following people were arrested for misdemeanor offenses and warrants during November 2024, according to arrest reports released by the Del Rio Police Department:
- Laura Ann Ojeda-Robles, 44, a resident of the 60 block of Scott Drive, was arrested at 4:24 a.m. on Nov. 1 on an active non-local warrant. The arresting officer reported he was on patrol in the area of East Viesca and McLymont Streets when he observed a vehicle without a front license plate driving along the road. He initiated a traffic stop and found the driver, Ojeda-Robles, had an active warrant. He reported he arrested Ojeda-Robles and transported her to GEO.
- Luis Antoni Rodriguez Alcocer, 32, a resident of Abilene, Texas, was arrested at 9:12 p.m. on Nov. 1 at the Del Rio Port of Entry, 3140 Spur 239, on an outstanding warrant. The reporting officer wrote he was dispatched to the port of entry after U.S. Customs and Border Protection personnel called local police to inform them they had detained Rodriguez Alcocer when he attempted to enter the U.S. from Mexico and was found to have an outstanding warrant that had been entered in state and national databases.
- Fernando Cardenas, 46, a resident of the 100 block of Cedar Street, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 at the Del Rio Port of Entry, 3140 Spur 239. Cardenas was detained by U.S. Customs agents after it was found he had an outstanding non-local warrant for a misdemeanor offense.
- Wilbert F. Guajardo Flores, 41, a resident of San Antonio, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. on Nov. 3, at the Del Rio Port of Entry, 3140 Spur 239, after he was detained by U.S. Customs agent when they discovered Guajardo Flores had an outstanding non-local warrant that had been entered in state and national databases. The arresting officer reported he took Guajardo Flores into custody, transported him the police station for booking and processing, then took him to GEO.
- Julio Roberto Sanchez, 17, no residence address listed on arrest report, was arrested at 3:34 a.m. on Nov. 4, and charged with the offense of assault causing bodily injury/family violence, a Class A misdemeanor, after police were dispatched to a house in the 100 block of Cordova Lane after an assault had reportedly occurred there.
- Celeste Bernsteen Garcia, 46, a resident of an apartment in the 600 block of East 15th Street, was arrested at 4:23 p.m. on Nov. 7 on an active U.S. Marshals service warrant. The arresting officer reported he was on patrol on the 100 block of East Cortinas Street when he saw a woman matching the description of someone officers were looking for from a prior incident. The officer confirmed the woman was the subject of the warrant, took her into custody and transported her to the police station for booking and processing. She was later transported to GEO.
- Jose Antonio Hernandez, 45, a resident of the 100 block of West Rodriguez Street, was arrested at 8:19 p.m. on Nov. 7 at 103 W. Rodriguez St. after a police officer went to the address to follow up on a prior theft complaint. The officer reported when he arrived, he obtained permission to look for Hernandez. The officer found Hernandez, confirmed the warrant and took Hernandez to the police station for booking and processing. He reported he later transported Hernandez to GEO.
- Migel Emiliano Valdes, 20, no residence address listed on arrest report, was arrested at 2 a.m. on Nov. 9, at 505 E. Virginia St., and charged with the offense of reckless driving, a Class B misdemeanor. The arresting officer reported he arrested Valdes after investigating a motor vehicle crash at that address.
- Jeremiah Lee Alonzo, 33, a resident of the 60 block of Mesa Drive, was arrested at 1:47 a.m. at East 17th Street and Avenue E following a traffic stop. Alonzo was charged with the offenses of unlawfully carrying a weapon, a Class A misdemeanor, and of driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor.
- Marcos Olivares, 33, a resident of the 300 block of East Gutierrez Street, was arrested at 12:55 a.m. on Nov. 12 at the Val Verde Regional Medical Center, 801 Bedell Ave., and charged with the offense of public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor. The arresting officer reported he arrested Olivares after being dispatched to the hospital to investigate a report of an unruly man in the emergency room lobby.
- Eduardo Rodriguez, 30, a resident of the 900 block of West Chapoy Street, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 12 at the intersection of West 11th Street and Avenue Q and charged with the offense of driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor. The arresting officer reported he took Rodriguez into custody after being dispatched to the intersection to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway. The officer reported he found the car, which was parked with its engine running, and made contact with the driver, identified as Rodriguez. The officer said he arrested Rodriguez after performing a series of standardized field sobriety tests during which Rodriguez “displayed clues on intoxication.”
- Gilbert Viesca, 20, a resident of Pearsall, Texas, was arrested at 3:43 a.m. on Nov. 13 at South Main and Greenwood Streets for an active non-local warrant. The arresting officer reported he encountered Viesca while on patrol on South Main Street and wrote he stopped to speak with Viesca, who “seemed frustrated.” The arresting officer wrote he conducted a “warrants/wants check” and discovered an active warrant for Viesca. The officer wrote he took Viesca to the police station for booking and processing after GEO advised him they would take Viesca.
- Marcos Olivares, 33, a resident of an apartment in the 110 block of Dennis Drive, was arrested at 9 a.m. on Nov. 13 at Bedell Avenue and East Second Street and charged with the offense of public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor. The arresting officer reported he was dispatched to investigate a call about a man “harassing neighbors.” The officer reported he found the man, identified as Olivares, to be intoxicated and advised him to stay in his residence. The officer reported Olivares called the police department, asking to speak to an officer. Officer returned to his residence and learned from neighbors he had gone walking. The arresting officer reported he found Olivares “walking north on Bedell Avenue into traffic” and took him into custody.
- Jose Luis Blancarte, 25, a resident of the 900 block of East Chapoy Street, was arrested at 4:10 p.m. on Nov. 16 at his home and charged with the offense of assault causing bodily injury/family violence, a Class A misdemeanor. Blancarte was arrested after police were dispatched to him home to investigate a report that an assault had allegedly occurred there. The arresting officer reported when he arrived at the residence, he spoke with the caller, who alleged Blancarte had assaulted a third person, who “suffered visible injuries to his face.” The officer said he spoke with Blancarte, “who admitted to striking the victim several times on the face,” and took Blancarte into custody.
- Paul Valdez, 36, a resident of the 160 block of Yucca Trailer Park Road, was arrested at 11:13 p.m. on Nov. 16 at Walmart, 2410 Dodson Ave., and charged with the offenses of theft of property, greater than or equal to $100, less than $750, a Class B misdemeanor, and of criminal trespass, a Class C misdemeanor.
- Fernando Solano Vidales, 23, a resident of Blytheville, Ark.; was arrested at 5:31 a.m. on Nov. 17 at the Del Rio Port of Entry, 3140 Spur 239. The arresting officer reported he was dispatched to the port of entry after U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents called police to say they had detained a man showing an active warrant out of California. The officer reported Del Rio police dispatchers were able to confirm the warrant, and he took Vidales into custody.
- Justin Jessie Everett Fuentes, 36, a resident of the 600 block of Arteaga Street, was arrested at 8:54 a.m. on Nov. 19 at Bridge Street and Gillis Avenue on an active non-local warrant. The arresting officer reported he encountered Fuentes as Fuentes was driving on West Garza Street. The officer reported he recognized the truck as one Fuentes drove and wrote he knew Fuentes had an active warrant. The officer wrote he stopped the truck, confirmed the warrant and took Fuentes into custody.
- Emilio Martinez, 19, a resident of the 400 block of Hill Street, was arrested at 4:12 p.m. on Nov. 20 at his residence and charged with the offense of assault causing bodily injury/family violence, a Class A misdemeanor. The arresting officer reported he was dispatched to Martinez’s residence to investigate a reported assault that had already occurred. The officer reported when he arrived he spoke to a woman who claimed Martinez had “punched her in the arm twice.” The officer wrote he arrested Martinez and took him to the police station for booking and processing.
- Jose Antonio Hernandez, 45, a resident of the 200 block of Don Martin Street, was arrested at 5:53 p.m. on Nov. 20 at his residence on an active local warrant. The arresting officer reported he was dispatched to Hernandez’s address after Hernandez called police to report a possible threat someone had made against him. The officer wrote when he arrived at Hernandez’s residence and ran a warrants check on him, he was advised there was an active warrant with the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office. The officer reported he took Hernandez into custody and took him to the police station for booking and processing and later transported him to GEO.
- Roberto Javier Mattei, 29, whose residence addresses are listed as a residence in the 500 block of West Martin Street and as homeless, was arrested at 11:40 a.m. on Nov. 21 at 302 Ave. J. on active non-local warrants. The arresting officer reported he was dispatched to an area near Avenue J and East Second Street “in reference to a suspicious male subject walking in the area.” The officer wrote he located the man outside 300 Ave. J and conducted a warrants check. The officer wrote he learned Mattei had an outstanding warrant from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office and an out-of-state warrant from Utah. The officer said he took Mattei into custody and transported him to the police station for booking and processing, then took him to GEO.
- Juan Pablo Olivas, 36, a resident of the 400 block of West Adobe Street, was arrested at 5:53 a.m. on Nov. 21 at Waters Avenue and West Adobe Street and charged with the offenses of evading arrest or detention and of violation of bond/protective order, both Class A misdemeanors. The arresting officer reported he was dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of East Bean Street at 5:06 a.m. on Nov. 21 in reference to a disturbance in progress. The officer reported when he arrived he was notified that a man involved in the disturbance had left on foot. The officer said no assault had occurred, but “there was an emergency protective order in place.” The officer wrote the area was searched and Olivas was located. The officer reported Olivas attempted to flee on foot, but was later caught and transported to the police station for booking and processing.
- Enrique Ramos, 42, a resident of the 200 block of East Fourth Street, was arrested at 9:18 p.m. on Nov. 22 at 200 E. Fourth St. and charged with the offense of public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.
- Ernesto Jesus Hernandez Paz, 22, a resident of the 160 block of Cerezo Ave., was arrested at 5:41 a.m. on Nov. 24 at West 15th Street and Avenue A and charged with the offense of public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.
- Salvador Antonio Hernandez, 21, a resident of an apartment in the 700 block of Spring Street, was arrested at 12:40 a.m. on Nov. 24 outside 910 Veterans Blvd. on an active warrant out of the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office. The arresting officer reported he arrested Hernandez following a traffic stop.
- Raymond Lee Rodriguez, 20, a resident of San Angelo, Texas, was arrested at 2:06 p.m. on Nov. 24, at 100 E. Third St. and charged with the offense of reckless driving, a Class B misdemeanor. The arresting officer reported he arrested Rodriguez after conducting a traffic stop in the 700 block of North Main Street. The officer wrote he observed the vehicle being driven by Rodriguez “traveling at a high rate of speed and was able to confirm speed with unit radar.” The officer wrote the vehicle Rodriguez was driving was “traveling at 70 miles per hour in a 30 mile-per-hour zone.”
- Eduardo Adriel Robles, 29, a resident of the 120 block of East De La Rosa Street, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 26 at Stripes convenience store, 1602 Veterans Blvd., on an active local warrant. The arresting officer reported he was dispatched to the convenience store in reference to a man who had left the store without paying for several items. The officer wrote he located Robles, learned there was an active warrant for Robles’ arrest and took Robles into custody.
- Joe Frank Ramirez, 46, a resident of the 210 block of West Strickland Street, was arrested at 9:07 p.m. on Nov. 30 at Walmart, 2410 Dodson Ave., on an active local warrant. The arresting officer reported he was dispatched to Walmart to investigate a shoplifting report. The officer wrote when he checked warrants checks on witnesses, he found one of them had an active warrant from the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office. The officer wrote he confirmed the warrant and took Ramirez into custody.
- Christian Gerardo Flores, 25, a resident of the 1500 block of West Dignowity Street, was arrested at 11:20 p.m. on Nov. 30 in the 900 block of East Ogden Street on an active local warrant. The arresting officer reported he conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on East Ogden Street and learned the driver, identified as Flores, had an active warrant from the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office. The officer wrote he took Flores into custody and transported him to the police station for booking and processing and later took him to GEO.
