From City of Del Rio Police Department press release
On 05/21/2024 the Del Rio Police Department responded to Wal-Mart located at 2410 Dodson Ave. for a robbery that had already occurred. Police met with an Asset Protection employee who reported an unknown male exhibited a knife and made threatening comments towards an employee while fleeing with unpaid Lego boxes. A clothing description and suspect’s vehicle description were provided to Police.
The case was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division for further investigation. Detectives identified the male as Francisco Everardo Jimenez; 21 yrs. of age resident of Eagle Pass, TX. and an arrest warrant was obtained.
A week later, on 05/28/2024, police responded to Wal-Mart for a theft that had just occurred, employee provided the same suspect’s vehicle description and reported a box of Legos were stolen by a male. Police located the vehicle near the intersection of Veterans Blvd. and E. Gibbs.
Contact was made with the driver identified as Francisco Everardo Jimenez. Police saw green leafy substance in plain view in the interior of the vehicle. Jimenez was detained and a probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle, resulting in an unopened box of Legos valued at $169.00. Police also located an electronic vape pen with THC wax. Both substances tested positive for marijuana.
Francisco Everardo Jimenez; 21 yrs. of age was arrested for the arrest warrant charging him with Aggravated Robbery. Jimenez was also arrested for Theft $100 < $750, Possession of Marijuana < 2oz, and Possession of CS PG 2g<4g.
