City of Del Rio Police Department press release
On 05/23/2025 at approximately 6:47p.m., the Del Rio Police
Department responded to the 400 block of Ash Street for an assault call. Upon arrival police met with the victim who reported a known male assaulted her causing multiple injuries.
The victim also told police the male subject shattered the rear window of her vehicle prior to leaving the area on foot.
Police located the male subject at the 200 block of Ash Steet, the subject had a visible laceration to his right arm.
Upon request for identification the male provided police with a name and date of birth. The subject refused to speak to police nor provide an explanation to his injury. The subject was arrested for the offense of Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.
Upon a second request for identification the subject provided a different name to police. The subject was transported to the police station for booking process and an ambulance was requested to evaluate the injury to his arm.
The subject was transported to Val Verde Regional Medical Center for treatment. Upon request for information by medical staff the subject provided a different name and said he had been injured with the shattered glass of the vehicle.
After the subject was medically discharged, he was transported to US Border Patrol Headquarters where he was positively identified as Alexander Davila; 37 years of age. Davila was found to have a history of deportations.
A warrant inquiry was conducted by police revealing Davila had an active arrest warrant out of Hunt County for the offense of Possession of Marijuana. Police confirmed the arrest warrant with the issuing agency and arrested Davila for said warrant.
Davila was also arrested for Criminal Mischief $100 < $750.00 and Fail to Identify Fugitive Intent to Give False Name. Davila was transported to GEO Correctional Facility, pending Magistration and Immigration process.
