NEWS — May misdemeanor arrests listed

Writer’s Note: All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law

 

The following persons were arrested for misdemeanor offenses during the month of May 2024, according to arrest reports released by the Del Rio Police Department:

  • Alonzo Richarte, 28, a resident of the 400 block of Dennis Drive, was arrested at 8:48 p.m. on May 5 in the 100 block of West Morin Street and charged with the offense of assault causing bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor.
  • Gilbert Lee Terrazas, 30, a resident of the 400 West Cortinas Street, was arrested at 3:59 a.m. on May 5 at his residence and charged with the offense of public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.
  • Jorge Ernesto Gallegos Herrera, 36, a resident of Mexico, was arrested at 7:22 p.m. on May 5 in the 3100 block of Spur 239, after Customs and Border Protection officers called the DRPD in reference to a male asylum seeker with an active warrant. The police officer who arrived on-scene verified the man’s information, arrested him, transported him to the police station for booking and processing, then later transported him the GEO.
  • Julio C de Los Angeles Garcia, 34, a resident of the 100 block of Skyline Street, was arrested at 11:36 a.m. on May 6 in the 100 block of Encinal Street, and charged with the offense of resisting arrest search or transportation, a Class A misdemeanor. The officer who responded to the scene also found Garcia had active warrants out of Uvalde County.
  • Herman Luke Gilliam, 19, a resident of the 100 block of Park Avenue, was arrested at 2:41 a.m. on May 8 at West Strickland and South Griner streets after police were called to investigate a single-vehicle accident in which a pick-up truck ran into a ditch. Gilliam was charged with the offense of driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor.
  • Christopher Gonzales, 28, a resident of LaPryor, Texas, was arrested at 2:09 a.m. on May 9, in the parking of Whataburger restaurant, 2113 Veterans Blvd., after police were dispatched to investigate a report of a man asleep behind the wheel of a Ford van. Gonzalez was charged with the offense of driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor.
  • Ricky Duran Lopez, 32, a resident of the 500 block of East Adobe Street, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. on May 10 at Pecan and Academy streets after Border Patrol officials had detained a man for reckless driving. Police officers arrived at the scene, arrested Lopez and charged him with public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.
  • Nathan Paul Sharp, 43, a resident of Comstock, Texas, was arrested at 3:13 a.m. on May 11, at Doc Holiday’s bar, 202 E. Gibbs St., and charged with the offense of public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.
  • Denny Zamarripa, 25, a resident of the 300 block of Mesa Drive, was arrested at 2:57 a.m. on May 12, in the area of West Second Street and Avenue A after police were dispatched to investigate a motor vehicle accident at Pecan and East Garfield streets. Zamarripa was charged with the offense of public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.
  • Madison Fernandez, 22, a resident of the 100 block of Ceniza Hills Circle, was arrested at 6:10 p.m. on May 14, in the 100 block of Flintrock Trail and charged with the offense of assault causing bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor.
  • Fermin Cardona, 49, a resident of the 100 block of West Bowie Street, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. on May 28, in the 100 block of West Third Street, and charged with the offense of driving while intoxicated, second or more, a Class A misdemeanor.
  • Joel Arredondo, 19, a resident of the 600 block of Vitela Street, was arrested at 3:58 p.m. on May 18 in the 600 block of West De La Rosa Street after police were called to the West De La Rosa Street address to investigate a call about a car that had been taken without permission. While at the scene, officers encountered Arredondo, who was found to have outstanding local warrants, and he was arrested.
  • James Dean Deitrick, 21, a resident of the 400 block of East Bowie Street, was arrested at 12:45 a.m. on May 19, at West Garza and Taini streets after police were dispatched to 1012 S. Griner St. in reference to a pickup truck that had driven off after striking a residence. Officers located the vehicle, which had also struck a fence and a utility pole, and arrested Dietrick, the driver. Dietrick was charged with the offenses of driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.15, a Class A misdemeanor, and two counts of duty on striking fixture, Class B misdemeanors.
  • David Hernandez, 19, a resident of the 100 block of Harvey Drive, was arrested at 4:02 a.m. on May 22, at U.S. Highway 90 and Dicker Drive, and charged with the offense of driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor.
  • Zujey Campos Limon, 37, a resident of an apartment in the 1000 block of East Chapoy Street, was arrested at 12:53 p.m. on May 22, in the 400 block of West De La Rosa Street and charged with the offense of assault causing bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor.
  • Fabian Armando Magallon, 19, a resident of the 100 block of Casa Blanca Street, was arrested at 2:37 a.m. on May 23 in the 3800 block of U.S. Highway 90 and charged with the offense of assault causing bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor.
  • Jesus Manuel Pina Juarez, 43, no residence address provided, was arrested at 12:37 a.m. on May 25 at the Del Rio Port of Entry after Customs and Border Protection officers notified police they had detained a man on outstanding warrants. Officers who responded verified warrants through the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office and took Juarez into custody.
  • America Favela, 22, a resident of the 600 block of Dennis Drive, was arrested at 2:54 a.m. on May 26 at Avenue L and East Gibbs Street and charged with the offense of driving while intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor.
  • Baleriana Lopez, 41, a resident of the 300 block of Skyview Drive, was arrested at 9:49 p.m. on May 26 at the Del Rio Port of Entry after Customs and Border Protection officers notified police they had detained an individual found to have local warrants. Police arrived and arrested Lopez.
  • Juan Hernandez Lopez, 66, a resident of 800 block of Martinez Street, was arrested at 7:39 a.m. on May 26 in the 200 block of East Cortinas Street. Police were dispatched to the East Cortinas Street address and encountered Lopez, who was found to have local warrants and was arrested.
  • Adrian Villalpondo Saucedo, 23, a resident of the 100 block of West Bowie Street, was arrested at 4:28 a.m. on May 26 at Bedell Avenue and Northill Drive and charged with the offense of driving while intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor.
  • Armando Ramirez, 55, a resident of the 500 block of East Adobe Street, was arrested at 10:55 p.m. on May 26, at East Morin Street and Railway Avenue, and charged with the offense of public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.
  • Cody Lee Galvan, 22, a resident of the 100 block of Linda Vista Drive, was arrested at 11:59 a.m. on May 28 in the 100 block of Linda Vista Drive and charged with the offense of criminal mischief, greater than or equal to $750, less than $2,500, a Class A misdemeanor and local warrants.
  • Ruben Pena, 61, a resident of the 700 block of Dennis Drive, was arrested at 8:45 a.m. on May 28 in the 900 block of East 12th Street. Pena was found to have active warrants and was arrested.
  • Eloy Moreno, 34, a resident of an apartment in the 100 block of Kings Way, was arrested at 2:28 p.m. on May 31 in the 3900 block of U.S. Highway 90 and charged with the offense of terroristic threat, a Class B misdemeanor.
