creativity, and devotion to the art of music; and

“Whereas, from his early days performing in local dances and radio stations, to forming

and Johnny Hernandez, as well as sharing the stage with legends such as Selena, Emilio
Navaira, and Little Joe, solidifying his place as a cherished figure in Tejano and country music
history; and

“Whereas, as a proud father, grandfather, and community member, Nacho’s commitment to
music lives on in his children and grandchildren, who have inherited his love for the craft and
continue his tradition, ensuring that his influence will resonate for generations to come; and

“Whereas, Ignacio “Nacho” Nañez has not only been a cornerstone of local culture but also a

listeners for over seven decades.

“Now, therefore, I, Alvaro Arreola, as Mayor of the City of Del Rio, Texas, do hereby proclaim
