The multi-billion dollar natural gas field in Northern Val Verde County is moving ahead, as the company began drilling two new wells Tuesday, Jan. 12.
This company began drilling its fourth and fifth wells this past week, leaving the company with another 55 wells to drill in the area.
To make this possible, they have purchased gas rights on another 12,000 acres in northern Val Verde County, giving them gas rights on 25,000 acres, according to Barron Petroleum’s CEO Manjit (Roger) Sahota.
Sahota said the employment opportunities will be aplenty. “We will need people to run oil and gas wells, truck drivers to pick up the water, pick up the gas and pumpers to make sure everything is working every day.”
